Aspire Graduate Programme Roles Overview
As part of the Capgemini Aspire Academy you will have the opportunity to be part of a structured training programme that offers a wide variety of opportunities on a number of extremely complex and high profile projects.
Across all roles you will develop and apply a wide range of skills such as problem solving, collaborative team working and critical reasoning through various training and development courses. All of which is designed to widen your portfolio of skills and to enable you to add real value to the organisation.
Business Process Graduate
The Software Engineering Practice is an integral part of the Software Engineering lifecycle, providing both the Design and Development of quality applications. It is an expansive role with a wide variety of opportunities to rotate and later specialise in different technologies and development roles.
We are looking to grow our existing team within the Business Process Management area, specifically within Pega. Pega is a software package which supports our Business Process applications – either case management or exception Management. You will be working with the Pega team to design/understand client process, then model it within the Pega tool to build the supporting processes and procedures to integrate the process.
Training will be given however a working knowledge of Java would be advantageous. Essentially by joining the Software Engineering Practitioner Stream you will develop and apply core skills such as problem solving, collaborative team working and critical reasoning as well as having an opportunity to gain additional technical training.
Project Management Office
As a PMO practitioner you have the opportunity to be part of one of a number of extremely complex and high profile projects. You will receive intensive training to learn the skills required to be fully effective in the role. The PMO practice provides the opportunity for continual learning and development across the project lifecycle which is supported through industry recognised certification.
It is an expansive role with a wide variety of opportunities to rotate and later progress your career and specialise in different levels within the PMO (PMO Team Leader/PMO manager) and, over the longer term, provides a pathway into Project Management
Business Development and Innovation
The role of business Development and Innovation harnesses the capability of Capgemini and our partners to help HMRC identify new opportunities for developing and transforming their business.
Working within BD&I will give you maximum exposure to the client and the numerous external business partners. You will assist in providing expertise on People, Process and Technology to one of the largest, most complex and diverse accounts while developing business principles and account management skills.
Finance
The Finance Team plays an integral role throughout Aspire in the provision and interpretation of financial information, decision support, forecasting, budgeting, financial governance and working with our HMRC client.
Finance roles cover the support of high profile client services, projects/major programmes and commercial modelling/deal shaping with both internal and external facing roles. The wide variety of roles provide excellent opportunities to rotate and hence gain all round financial experience whilst supporting progression through the achievement of professional accounting qualifications. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a career in business as a professional Accountant in a complex, dynamic and diverse business environment.
For successful graduates there is an opportunity to undertake professional study and support is provided through Kaplan to allow you to qualify as an associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

You be placed on our Rotational Programme which will allow you to gain experience in the various components of Application Delivery. This will include different systems, different technologies and different stages in the lifecycle. The opportunity to learn multiple technologies ranging from web based systems, to mobile technologies to massive batch system processing billions of pounds.
Longer term there is the flexibility to progress down a number of different career paths - as an Applications Subject Matter Expert, or a more technical career as support and batch analyst. There are opportunities to develop architectural skills or customer facing techniques.
