Employee Transformation

People are one of the greatest assets a business has and therefore the role of Human Resources inside organisations is becoming ever more important. The Employee Transformation team specialises in all things ‘People’: it is the home of Capgemini’s HR and People Change experts.  All organisations are the sum of their people and the effectiveness of HR strategies can make the difference between success and failure.

Employee Transformation (ET) works with clients to help organisations to build and achieve the HR and people solutions that support their business requirements and future vision. Broadly speaking our work can be divided into two; 1) the operating of the HR function itself, optimising the effectiveness of the function and enabling the best service to be delivered to the business and 2) the wider workforce, looking at how to optimise the performance of the companies employees, often through the work of HR.

As the HR and People Change specialists within Capgemini we focus on three key areas:

  1. HR Transformation: solutions geared towards transforming HR organisations so that they add maximum value and support to their business, for example looking at the HR operating model (the way in which the HR function operates), HR processes and the implementation of HR shared services or outsourcing solutions
  2. People Change: solutions that enable companies to realise the full benefits of a major transformation project by successfully managing the change and ensuring the least possible disruption to business performance. Activities in this area of work might include helping to outline the change vision and people strategy, thoroughly assessing the impact of the change and then managing the implementation of the change using a broad number of techniques for example stakeholder management and communications strategies, training needs assessments and design and delivery of training to employees
  3. Talent Management: ensuring the right people are in the right role and with the right performance, for example making sure there are strategies in place to ensure the best talent is recruited and that once they are in the organisation that their performance is maximised.  This can involve employee engagement, pay and reward, learning and development and often the identification of top talent and design and implementation of specific schemes/activities for this group of people

When you join ET you will be aligned with one of these three areas above.  You will receive support and training to develop expertise in the specialist area but will also be able to work on projects in all areas and you will be given the opportunity to rotate between areas so as to maximise your learning.
We’ll also give you the option to study towards your CIPD qualification, if you wish to, by providing you with suitable funding and study leave.

As a graduate in ET you could find yourself working for a large retail bank to review the way its HR function works and making recommendations on how it might be able to improve, you could be designing and delivering and leadership development programme for the health service or work as part of a team helping to manage change as part of a large HR transformation project at a global pharmaceuticals company.  You will work in both the public and private sectors across a range of industries and, as we have several international project you could well find yourself flying to the likes of Dubai, Switzerland, and India.

As a graduate in ET you will have the opportunity, through projects and more formal qualifications, to build a solid core consulting skillset but also the expertise in HR and the key business and people challenges faced in most businesses.
