Integration Services Graduate
We are looking for graduates to join our Telford based Integrated Services Division within the Live Services area of Aspire. The area plays an integral role throughout the lifecycle of multiple projects pre-implementation and is then responsible for the support and maintenance of various components once implemented.
As a Junior Analyst/Developer in Aspire you have the opportunity to be part of one of a number of extremely complex and high profile live service teams. You will receive intensive training to learn the skills required to be fully effective in the role. You will be responsible for the integration and testing of software application deliverables and play an active part in process improvement ensuring compliance with all relevant quality processes. You will also be required to maintain effective working relationships with all team members and key stakeholders. The area provides the opportunity for continual learning and development across the project and maintenance lifecycles.
It is an interesting and demanding area with a wide variety of opportunities to expand your skills and learning, rotate and progress your career and specialise in different levels within the Integrated Services Division area.
Applications Analyst
We are looking for graduates to join our Worthing based Applications Management team who support our client HM Revenue and Customs’ business applications throughout their lifecycle, from planning through to testing, operational support, refresh and eventual decommissioning. It gives anyone with a real interest in developing a technical career the chance to gain exposure to some of the most interesting, complex and high profile IT Systems in Europe.
You be placed on our Rotational Programme which will allow you to gain experience in the various components of Application Delivery. This will include different systems, different technologies and different stages in the lifecycle.
The opportunity to learn multiple technologies ranging from web based systems, to mobile technologies to massive batch system processing billions of pounds.
Longer term there is the flexibility to progress down a number of different career paths from technical to leadership.
Specialised Test - Telford or Worthing
The Telford and Worthing based Testing Practice involves both the application of testing and quality assurance activities. You will be actively involved working on one of largest projects with HMRC. You will work in all aspects of the software development lifecycle from Requirements to User Acceptance Testing and participate in an intensive Testing Academy Programme, learning the skills to be an effective Testing Practitioner.
You will develop core skills such as problem solving, collaborative team working and critical reasoning, and by rotating you will gain experience in different systems, technologies and test phases equipping you to understand how to apply industry best practice.
The role provides the opportunity for continual learning and development across the Software Development Lifecycle which is supported through Industry recognised certification such as ISTQB
Software Engineer - Base Telford, or Worthing
The Software Engineering Practice is an integral part of the Software Engineering lifecycle, providing both the Design and Development of quality applications.
It is an expansive role with a wide variety of opportunities to rotate and later specialise in different technologies and development roles. Initially, exposure will be within one key technology area; Microsoft (.Net and Sharepoint); or Business Process Management (Pega); or Java. The successful applicants will have opportunities to learn these technologies, related business processes - as well as additional technical skills.
With regards to the latter it will be in the Technical Integration Management team where responsibilities include code handover and environment management activities. For training purposes this role will require a minimum 12 month assignment, after which the candidate will be rotated into a Java development role.
Essentially by joining our practice in Telford you will develop and apply core skills such as problem solving, collaborative team working and critical reasoning as well as having an opportunity to gain industry recognized technical accreditations. This area includes active involvement in all aspects of the software development lifecycle from Requirements to the implementation of a Live Solution. After training is completed the expectation exists of the ability to contribute to an “out of hours” support roster.
Business Technology - all locations
We are looking for graduates to join our packages implementation business either working with SAP/Oracle Technologies or in business deployment services and undertake major business transformation through the effective and innovative application of new technologies for business.
Don’t think this a career for technologists, this is an opportunity for you to use the business skills you have acquired in subjects such as Accountancy, Engineering, Business Studies and others, to transform business and deliver premium results. Project Management Office - Worthing and Telford
If it’s an insight you want of what really takes place behind the scenes of large and complex projects, then a role within the Project Management Office (PMO) will provide you with the ideal opportunity to gain exposure to the everyday running of a project.
The responsibilities of a project analyst within the PMO can vary greatly, but common ground can be found around activities including the management of project plans, management of risks and issues, forecasting of resources and change management to name but a few. With such a spectrum of activities, your opportunity to liaise with key stakeholders of your project from Project Managers, Client Directors, Account Mangers is almost a certainty. At the same time, you’ll gain experience around how projects are managed through different phases of the project lifecycle.

There is an opportunity to work and develop the skills of a Requirements Analyst in one of our business areas. This role will provide an opportunity to work closely with the client and key stakeholders to develop your analytical skills and to help shape client business and business solutions through collaboration and consultation.
The role provides formal training with an opportunity to gain an industry recognized qualification, ISEB Business Analysis Qualification programme.
Risk and Security
The Aspire Security & Risk Management team provide security services to Aspire and directly to HMRC that underpin the protection of UK citizen data. Activity includes advising on and risk assessing IT system architectures, assuring Aspire suppliers, investigating security incidents, developing business continuity measures and managing and reporting Aspire risk to senior management.

Information Management
Roles in the Information Management(IM) practice at Capgemini vary enormously, which is part of the appeal. Consultants working in IM need to have skills in many disciplines and technologies. Broadley it includes Document Management, Records Management, Business Process Management and Enterprise Search.
As an IM consultant you may be gathering requirements, designing processes, configuring technology or customising it with your programming skills. IM roles allow graduates to experience both business and technical aspects of a project. Communication, presentation and organisation skills will develop quickly whilst working with a client. It acts as the focal point for incoming bids, where they are evaluated for content, and redistributed to a relevant person who assumes the role of the assigned bid manager. The preliminary stages of a bid require careful analysis of the clients’ needs, from which a ‘solution’ is then generated
Once placed in a team working on a specific bid, your designated responsibilities could span a broad spectrum of tasks and roles, which could involve collating information, managing a specific area of expertise or deciding on the most effective manner for information to be communicated to the client.
Business Intelligence
Business Intelligence forms a significant element of HMRC's IT operations; taking data feeds from the many IT services in operation, maintaining a large and complex data warehouse and providing reporting and analytics to support business decision making and strategy.
The role of software engineer within Aspire’s BI portfolio involves the analysis of requirements, development of software solutions and elements of component quality assurance and testing.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates to become involved in Business Intelligence (BI) solutions development. Implementation Manager
The Implementation Management role consists of managing all the clients’ releases of developed software into the live environment. This includes managing the production of an implementation management plan; collecting the relevant quality documentation from the client, ensuring conformance to process and liaising with various groups to locate resource and expertise.
Whilst on this role, two skills are essential and also greatly enhanced, they are effective communication and organisational skills. are vital as the implementation process has very strict controls in place and these are required to be planned around the release and completed to the client and Aspires satisfaction
Architecture
If you are looking for a challenging and problem solving role then the area of architecture can provide some exciting opportunities. Working as a tool model manager acts as a fantastic starting point to this area of expertise. The role sits within a Strategy and Innovation team and allows you to gain first hand experience of the work that architects carry out on a daily basis. It can build a solid foundation for furthering your career as a business or IT architect.

The Finance Team plays an integral role throughout Aspire in the provision and interpretation of financial information, decision support, forecasting, budgeting, financial governance and working with our HMRC client.
